“Adopt a Family” Gift Drive

Support the Families of Open Door this year with gifts for children, youth and adults for Christmas!

Adopt A Family is a ministry partnership between Calvary UMC and United Methodist Open Door. For the last 15+ years, Calvary has been providing gifts for families in HUD and Open Door programs who are coming out of homelessness and who are working to stay out of homelessness. We provide gifts for children and adults of all ages and serve between 150 and 300 individuals a year! This year, we are excited to welcome our network churches, College Hill UMC, Dellrose UMC, East Heights UMC, Derby Woodlawn UMC, Chapel Hill UMC, and University UMC to this amazing effort!

To participate in this awesome ministry, you can:

1. Go to https://forms.gle/Hjrm1EB4KNoTH5vT9 to sign up and pick the name(s) of the individuals or families you’d like to support.
2. Donate online or mail a check to Calvary UMC and let our Outreach Team do the shopping for you! Go to www.calvarywichita.org/giving/ and click “give now” selecting Adopt-A-Family when you give online.

After you sign up online, purchase your gifts, wrap them and label them with the name of the individual and their family code on each gift you wrap.

Gifts can be delivered anytime between now and December 13th. To deliver before the 13th, please call the church office to set up a time to drop off your gift!

On December 13th, from 11am-1pm, you can also drop your gift off outside of the church at our Adopt A Family Donation Day Parade!
