Featured Playlist
These playlists are designed for families with children ages 0-5th grade and will be noted if they are age specific. The activities are short (usually only 5-10 minutes) and include family conversations, Bible stories, devotionals, printables and more. They reflect the building blocks that are important for a child’s faith development .
Choose the activities that work for your family. Pick a time that works...once a week, every day or somewhere in the middle. Use one or two things or use them all. It's up to you as you grow in your faith together!
Zacchaeus
When Jesus visited Jericho, he did something that surprised everyone! Jesus asked to eat with Zacchaeus, a rich, selfish man. Most people did not trust Zacchaeus because he cheated people at his job. After meeting Jesus, Zacchaeus decided he wanted to follow God.
Start by reading the Bible Story or watching one of the videos and going through the wondering questions. Then pick the activities your family would like to do, as many or few as you like. Close your family faith time with prayer - use your own or the one provided.
the whole story in your Bible together! You can find it in the 3rd Gospel of the New Testament:
LUKE 19:1-10
In the Spark Story Bible, look for the Story titled Zacchaeus.
How do you think Zacchaeus felt when Jesus came to his house?
What would it be like if Jesus visited your house?
What would you fix for dinner when Jesus came to your house?
What would you ask Jesus if he came to your house?
Holy God, thank you for welcoming us, no matter what. Help us to be welcoming to others. Amen.

Forgiving: After Jesus left Jericho, Zacchaeus had to apologize to people he had cheated. Apologizing can be hard, so it’s good to practice! Form a circle and take turns apologizing and forgiving each other. Say, “I’m sorry. (Name).” That person responds, “I forgive you. (Name).” End by sharing a snack together like Jesus and Zacchaeus.WLI
