Community Problems Assembly: November 7th!

Please join us on Thursday, November 7th, from 6PM – 7:45PM, at First United Methodist Church (330 N Broadway, Wichita) for the Justice Together 2024 Community Problems Assembly where we will set the priorities that will be the focus of our justice work this year, and announce next steps we will take together!

Over the past two months, hundreds of people from dozens of congregations of diverse beliefs throughout Sedgwick County, have held small group conversations to name the problems that are weighing heaviest on their hearts. While many issues have surfaced, those that have shown up the most frequently included:

Mental Health Support – Healthcare Access – Transit/Transportation Access – Violent Crime – Drugs & Addiction – Education/School Safety – Affordable Housing – Underemployment/Poverty – Child Welfare/Foster Care – Eldercare

Justice Together will follow up with you on 10/25 with a preliminary ballot so that you can select from the top issues that have emerged from our listening process. We will then select a potentially new priority during the Community Problems Assembly on 11/7.
